Catching Up

I got way too far behind on posting our adventures, so here's just the latest.

On the 3rd of July, we went down to Colorado Springs and visited the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo. It was a perfect day and we all had a really good time.

When we got home from the Zoo, I had a surprise in the next box. Marshie had finally laid her first egg! It seems like we have been waiting forever for the Hens to start laying. Look how orange the yolk is. Nellie wanted to eat it right away, so Nathan fried it up. Yum!

Friday July 10th was Cow Appreciation Day @ Chick-fil-A. We dressed like Cows and got free food. The kids had a lot of fun! ;)

Yesterday, July 11th was an exciting day in the egg laying business. Marshie laid a ginormous egg & Brownie laid her first that afternoon!! The big one turned out to have a double yolk - Nathan made us omelets this morning. It's so fun to have fresh eggs! Now, we are just waiting for our Hen Carmel to start laying eggs (her's should be a blue-green color).

Hydronephrosis

The doctor called me yesterday to inform me that the Kidney ultrasound showed that Merich has Moderate Hydronephrosis in the Left kidney. They did the VCUG scan last week and already ruled out "reflux". We're scheduled for another scan next week at Children's Hospital for more answers. Fun!
